Mine Engineer:
The Mine Engineer role at TRJV primarily serves to meet short term scheduling, planning, project, and design needs for key zones at one of TRJV’s operations. It is intended that this role would ideally suit a recent graduate who would be part of TRJV’s Engineer-in-training (EIT) program. However there is sufficient flexibility at the mine and in this role for a mid level candidate’s experience to be utilized in an elevated Mine Engineer role. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of mine engineering (design, planning, scheduling, and projects), owning and being accountable for each function. Requires a Bachelor of Engineering (preferably mining). The candidate should demonstrate the following attributes: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills, a high level of organizational ability, and the ability to be a team player and adapt to a changing environment.
Underground Miners:
Miners with 3 or more years of undergound experience are needed to operate jumbos, jacklegs, and bolters. Must be able to move or lift up to 100 pounds.
Underground Equipment Operator (Haul Trucks and Loaders):
Underground mining experience preferred. However experience operating surface mining, construction, farm, or ranch equipment can substitute for mining experience.
Underground Mine Electrician:
Prefer 3 to 5 years mining electrical experience. Must have experience/familiarity with hoist operations and PLCs. Must have knowledge of motor controls. Must have knowledge of 4160, 13.8KV, and 480 distribution. Must have the ability to maintain and repair various electrical equipment. Must be physically able to hang and advance cable.
